Hup, Two, Three, Four... No, its not that kind of bootcamp. I'm going to the Make Art that Sells Bootcamp!
When I decided to add illustration to my portfolio, I took the amazing MATS classes with Lila Rogers, who represents some of my favorite illustrators. I had a wonderful time in this class, and I learned so much. (more about my experience in this class here)
Last year, I had wanted to do the Bootcamp class, but couldn't. Each month, as my Instagram feed filled with Bootcamp sketches, I sighed and wished I could have joined in the fun. vowing that I wouldn't miss it this year. Now, its finally here! The first mini assignment was revealed last week, and as usual, the subject is very interesting and fun to draw.
Hairstyles of the 1920's are full of interesting lines, shapes and contours, and then you add all the amazing hats, and its hard to stop drawing! Flapper girls, Marcel waves, bobs, turbans, cloches, the list is endless, and i haven't even gotten to the jewelry yet! The true challenge will be to pick my favorite looks because unfortunately, there won't be time to draw them all.
The final assignment was revealed this morning, and it is going to be a lot of fun! Stay tuned!
