New Beginner Acrylic Painting.png

Now is your chance! You spend all day taking care of others at home and work. This winter, take some time to relax and enjoy yourself by creating your very own work of art. Join me Wednesdays at the Dulles South Multipurpose Center and I will guide you step by step through making a painting you will be proud to hang on the walls in your home. Each class will begin with a short demonstration and then I will  work individually with each student. You can choose to work from a still life I have set up in the classroom, or you can bring a photo you would like to paint. No prior painting experience is necessary, and supplies will be provided.

“Each week, I look forward to my painting class. Kim is a fantastic teacher -- she does an excellent job at imparting knowledge and guidance while allowing her students to explore. I have learned a lot and look forward to developing my painting skills.” - Laura S.

Registration for winter Adult Classes is now open!

No prior painting experience necessary, but if you have painted before, that's fine too. Each student gets individual attention, which allows me to meet you at your own experience level and help you to advance your skills. All supplies are provided. You can work from your own photograph, or from photos I will have at the class. Want to paint your pet? Just bring one printed photo, along with some closeups of their face on your phone or other device. No need to worry about supplies - everything you need will be provided.

Sessions in January and February are four weeks long and meet at the Dulles South Multipurpose Center from 6:45-8:45 $70

New this Winter - Teen Class!

This January, besides my regular adult class, I will be offering  a "Paint your pet or favorite animal" class especially for teens aged 12-16. Bring your own photos, or work from photos I will have in class. I will help you capture your pet's personality, and along the way, you will learn the fundamentals of creating an acrylic painting. Please bring one printed photo of your pet or favorite animal, and a few close ups of the face on your phone or other device. No need to worry about supplies - everything you need will be provided.
